Section VII: Editors Notes

All Starfleet vessels and facilities constructed after 2300 have Escape Pods installed to assist in emergency evacuations.  Vessels typically have the same size pods throughout, but may have a mixture of pods based on location (I.E. 6 or 8 person pods on habitation decks, 2 or 4 person pods in cargo decks, etc...).

Pods have only basic shielding, fuel and life support for the listed number of people.  In some cases additional people must be added, which decreases the pod's ability to function, thus reducing the listed ratings by 15-25% per person.
