Section VII: Editors Notes

The Valkyrie appeared in a computer game set in 2376, as a new fighter aboard an experimental new Typhon-class carrier.  The Valkyrie Class is intended to replace the aging fleet of Peregrine Class fighters currently in use throughout the fleet.  Smaller and more agile, Valkyrie Class ships are used for a variety of missions.  Unlike the Peregrine Class, the Valkyrie Class is intended to be used in small groups, which makes it ideal for fighter wing groups.

The Mk. II Valkyrie includes upgrades to the Nacelles for faster maximum and emergency warp ratings, improved pulse phasers and stronger shields.

Slung below the wings are hardpoints for two modules which can be dropped as needed (when empty or in emergency).
