Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I
contact the DaDB?
Send an e-mail to the DaDB Chairperson at: dadb (at)
sixth-fleet (dot) com
- How do I
submit a design to the DaDB?
If you would like to submit a design of your own, or request a design
that doesn't appear on our site yet, please send an e-mail to the DaDB
Chairperson at the address above.
- How do I join
the Engineering Bureau or DaDB?
The DaDB accepts anyone interested in Star Trek technology. You
do not need to be a member of 6th Fleet to be a member of the Advisory
panel. If you would like to join the DaDB please send an e-mail
to the DaDB
Chairperson at the address above.
- Why
don't the DaDB specifications always match those from other sites?
In researching the ships we often notice that several of the designs
have
information that was incomplete or not plausible for various
reasons. In the cases of ship dimensions we used size comparisons
and screen capture measurements
where possible, othewise we have occasionally settled on a 'middle
ground' somewhere
between the various other references.
- What do I
do if I found a mistake on one of the pages?
We're only human after all. Typos naturally will occur, as will
errors in coding etc...
Please contact the DaDB Chairperson at the address above.
- What do I do
if I think the information for one of the classes is wrong?
In determining the information for the various classes we used numerous
sources including other existing sites and books. We compared the
information and if they all (or most) matched that is what we tried to
use, but there are some cases when information did not match, was
obviously in error or missing. In those cases we used other
resources such as size comparisons and measurements from screencaps to
determine sizes, in other cases we tried to make plausible
explainations for missing or items that were obviously in error.
Naturally we are human, and others may disagree with our logic - if you
feel we are in error please send a note to the DaDB Chairperson at the
address above.
- Do you have non-canon technology?
Yes, and we're adding more all the time! Examples are the Luna
class starship, Marine Manuvering
Pack and various upgrade options.
