After 7 years in mothballs, the USS Lancelot was returned to active service in 2386, following an extensive repair and refit cycle. Sporting the newest Tactical Pod, the Lancelot has been redirected to take command as the lead ship in Task Group Excalibur, a brand new Task Group created in response to the explosion of the Star Hobus and the accompanying reports that the planets Romulus and Remus were destroyed in the explosion.
Operating primarily in the vicinity of the Romulan Neutral Zone, the Lancelot now monitors the ever evolving situation in the Romulan Empire, as well as Klingon space. Ever ready to respond to trouble in either region, the Lancelot now stands a constant vigil, in the hope that one day their presence will no longer be required.
