The USS Saturn is a key part of the Federation's diplomatic presence along the borders of the Klingon, Gorn and Tholian empires - and often provides transport for important dignitaries between these neighbouring races.
This simulation has a long history dating back to August 1996. The current crew is mostly very young (the characters, not the writers), but what they lack in experience they make up with dedication.
Since January 2009 this simulation is following a longer story arc that will likely span several more years, with each mission being novelised and made available for download in PDF format on the simulation's website.
