Welcome to the USS Hyperion!

The USS Hyperion has been with Sixth Fleet and her predecessor, Tango Fleet, for many years in one form or another. It is considered one of the longest standing simulations and therefore has a varied and valued history. The current Commanding Officer/Games Manager, took command in March 2388, replacing Captain Douglas Irvine who was lost during an unknown solo mission. Now, with a varied crew compliment, outstanding writing skills and exciting story plots, the USS Hyperion and her crew continue the fine traditions of Star Fleet:

...to seek out new life and new civilisations...

Following the Hobus Incident, the Romulan Star Empire has been thrown into disarray. The Tal Shiar are trying to rebuild their stronghold, forcing many thousands of refugees to escape the former Star Empire in fear for their lives. Meanwhile, several prominent Klingon Houses are threatening to grasp the opportunity and take flailing worlds by force for Glory and Honour.

Starfleet has ordered the USS Hyperion to patrol the M'Kieru Sector, located directly between the Klingon Empire and the former Romulan Star Empire, in hope to provide a deterent to the Klingons and humanitarian aid to the refugees.

Following the destruction of the USS Hyperion NCC-7438-F, the crew were given a state of the art starship and honoured with the class name of Hyperion, the flag ship of which is the USS Hyperion NX-7438.

As a secondary mission, they are to explore unknown regions of space and strengthen Federation strongholds in the changing face of the galaxy.

If you would like to join us, you must have a strong interest in writing and working with others to construct the story plot. If this applies to you, then I encourage you to click JOIN on the far right menu and we will take it from there.

Grendon glanced out the window as the Hyperion came into view ahead of them. She was a beautiful ship, albeit slightly more boxy than some of the other classes of vessel that Starfleet had launched over the years. One of his greatest vishes going through the Academy had been to…

Mission: Rise Of The Galacta
Posted on Thu Sep 8th, 2016 @ 6:42am by Ensign Alison Hill & Ensign Catriona Sinclair MS

A medical exam was a requirement of all crew assigned to a new post.  It familiarized the CMO with the patient, and served as a convenient way to update the ship's files on said crewman.  Half the time the CMO issued appointments, otherwise the incoming crew set it up.…

Mission: Rise Of The Galacta
Posted on Wed Aug 24th, 2016 @ 7:07am by Lieutenant Commander Jacob West & Lieutenant Tomasi Havili

There were two things in life Lieutenant Tomasi Maau Havili appreciated, the first being a good engineering puzzle and the other a good book. As a Starfleet officer, he was surrounded by engineering puzzles on a daily basis. But books? Now they were hard to come by. In an…

Jackson Moone stood behind the Conn position on the bridge as the Jupiter dropped out of warp for the twelvth time in as many minutes. The quick jumps with the Quantum Slipstream Drive had taken them a nearly four parsecs around the Lantaru Sector. But in all that distance travelled…

Personal log
Well, not sure how to begin this, much to  my shock and horror I am now CMO of Hyperion.  Still not sure how. All I know is that McTaggart was reasigned and somehow, I was left the only one with enough experience me, an…

I have only been on the Hyperion for a short time, since the start of the current mission, in fact and am already finding it difficult to fit in. Sure enough, I have found at least one friend, Ensign Sinclair, who recently was promoted to CMO, but everyone else seems…

Fresh from a shower, the Bajoran slipped into one of the looser fitting garments of her home world, and then sat down at the semi cluttered desk of her quiet cabin.  Many thoughts filled her lovely head as she gave the command and stardate for a personal log.
Once the…

It has now been nine days since the Hyperion began her patrol along the Romulan Neutral Zone, and nearly a month since Captain Irvine left us. I have tried to maintain the ship as best as possible under the circumstances, but as always events are in motion…
