Welcome to the USS Hyperion!

The year is 2389 and this is the mission logs of the USS Hyperion NX-7438, a proud member of Sixth Fleet.

The USS Hyperion has been with Sixth Fleet and her predecessor, Tango Fleet, for many years in one form or another. It is considered one of the longest standing simulations and therefore has a varied and valued history. The current Commanding Officer/Games Manager, took command in March 2388, replacing Rear Admiral Ambler Furry who was redeployed to be the M'Kieru Sector Commander. Now, with a varied crew compliment, outstanding writing skills and exciting story plots, the USS Hyperion and her crew continue the fine traditions of Star Fleet:

...to seek out new life and new civilisations...

Following the Hobus Incident, the Romulan Star Empire has been thrown into disarray. The Tal Shiar are trying to rebuild their stronghold, forcing many thousands of refugees to escape the former Star Empire in fear for their lives. Meanwhile, several prominent Klingon Houses are threatening to grasp the opportunity and take flailing worlds by force for Glory and Honour.

Starfleet has ordered the USS Hyperion to patrol the M'Kieru Sector, located directly between the Klingon Empire and the former Romulan Star Empire, in hope to provide a deterent to the Klingons and humanitarian aid to the refugees.

Following the destruction of the USS Hyperion NCC-7438-F, the crew were given a state of the art starship and honoured with the class name of Hyperion, the flag ship of which is the USS Hyperion NX-7438.

As a secondary mission, they are to explore unknown regions of space and strengthen Federation strongholds in the changing face of the galaxy.

If you would like to join us, you must have a strong interest in writing and working with others to construct the story plot. If this applies to you, then I encourage you to click JOIN on the far right menu and we will take it from there.

Kindest Regards
Nigel Gillson, Commodore
Games Manager

Douglas watched as his new ship lay helpless beyond the bulkhead between him and her.  The ship looked remarkably intact given it had only been a few days since its arrival.  Tiny shuttles and workbees darted in every direction to transport engineers and affect repairs across the entire hull.…

Lieutenant Grendon watched from the Executive Officer's chair as the Hyperion slowly nestled into the docking ring of Starbase 117. Their journey had been uncomfortable for the last few lightyears, her warp engines unable to provide enough power for all the ship's systems as the already damaged EPS grid…

Douglas, complete with a longer beard and a sadder face was pushed through the door to Admiral Chapman's office.  The security commander was obviously disgruntled by the way he haphazardly handled him, but given the same guy had been posted to watch delinquints like Douglas in New Zealand's Penal…

The air was particularly musty and the artificial lighting was begining to illuminate the streets of St Peter's Town on Mars.  People were returning from their day's chores and interests and many were stopping off at the local public bar for a drink or ten.

Patrick stood in the room that was assigned to him as his quarters for the while he was on Starbase 117 and looked out of the window. The stars weren't twinkeling because of the missing atmosphere, but they looked cold and repelling to him. He sighed and turned around. How…
